Closing up between cabinets and ceiling using an mdf scriber
Ceiling heights vary from 2400mm to 3000mm and higher. When ceilings are 2400mm high we regularly close the gap with a negative scriber (position set back from the door panel) made from mdf (medium density fibre board). Closing the gap creates a tidy finish to the cabinetry. The mdf board is easy to fill and paint to a colour matching walls.
In this example the client added a cornice over the ceiling scriber to complete the finish around the entire room. Looks great.
